Azure DevOps Licensing
Access Levels
Access levels grant or restrict access to selected web portal features. This is in addition to permissions granted through security groups, which provide or restrict specific tasks.
Stakeholder
Can be assigned to unlimited users for free. Provides partial access to private projects and mostly full access to public projects. Assign to users with no license or subscriptions who need access to a limited set of features. For feature access details, see Stakeholder access quick reference.
Basic
Provides access to most features.
One Step Beyond owns only 5 Basic access level licenses. When requesting access for external user to this level, please provide justification. When it's not needed anymore, please contact the Azure DevOps management team to remove the access.
Basic + Test Plans
Provides access to all features included in Basic, as well as Azure Test Plans.
One Step Beyond does not have any licenses to this access level.
Visual Studio Subscriber
Assign to users who already have a Visual Studio subscription. Azure DevOps automatically recognizes the user's subscription - Visual Studio Enterprise, Visual Studio Professional, Visual Studio Test Professional, or MSDN Platform - and enables any other features that are included in their subscription level.
When requesting the creation of an external user on Azure DevOps, always check with the user if he owns a Visual Studio subscription.
Request a License
One Step Beyond provides Azure DevOps licenses only to its employees. Guest users are by default provisioned with Stakeholder access level.
Licenses are managed trough our Microsoft Partnership benefits. Ask your manager to request a Visual Studio Enterprise subscription.
Visual Studio Enterprise subscription
Visual Studio subscriptions allow designated employees to use software and cloud services included within the Visual Studio subscription to design, develop, test, and demonstrate applications.
We have access to a limited number of Visual Studio Enterprise subscription. The subscription provides these benefits:
- Visual Studio Enterprise
