    Engagement models in a nutshell...

    Engagement models define the way OSB will collaborate with the client, as well as the underlying contractual commitments taken. They shape the level of control, flexibility, and responsibility taken by the parties.

    We typically distinguish the following engagement models:

    • Time & Material
    • Managed Time & Material
    • Fixed Price
    • Fixed Time & Fixed Price

    The level of commitment and risk taken by OSB increases as shown below:

    Important

    When starting an engagement with the client, it is important to understand in which contractual model we are operating in order to manage the risks appropriately.

    Another possible engagement model, innovative but less often used, is the Story Point Model.
